Year 1/2 Indoor Athletics

On Wednesday 12th February, a group of Year 1 and 2 children took part in an Indoor Athletics festival. Unfortunately, Mrs Dixon and Mrs King forgot the IPAD so could not take pictures. They assured me that all children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were an absolute credit to the school. Well done.

On Thursday 23rd January, a squad of Year 5/6 boys took part in the Blaydon District League Competition.  They all played extremely well; they enjoyed every second. There was definitely a lovely atmosphere in the room. Well done boys!

Year 1/ 2 Multi Skills Festival

On Wednesday 27th November, a group of Y1/Y2 children traveled to St Thomas More to take part in the Multi Skills Festival. They had to use a range of skills to complete a carousel of activities. They all tried extremely hard and enjoyed every moment!

Year 6 Sports hall Athletics Competition

On Thursday 14th November, a group of Year 6 children took part in a Sports hall Athletics competition at St Thomas More. They each took part in a field, track and relay event. Although we did not place in top 3, all children were a credit to the school and did in fact receive the fair play award. This deemed them the school who showed their fellow teammates the most respect and support during the competition. Well done!

Year 5 Tag Rugby Competition

On Wednesday 9th November, the whole Year 5 class took part in a Tag Rugby Competition at Blaydon Rugby Club. The class had received in class coaching in preparation for this competition. One team was successful in the group stages, but was sadly knocked out in the next round. All children had a great afternoon!

Year 4 Tag Rugby Competition

On Thursday 10th October, a group of Year 4 children took part in our cluster Tag Rugby Competition. It was their first taste of the sport and it certainly won't be their last: they loved very moment of it!
